A few years ago BP tried to rebrand itself as “beyond petroleum”, but the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is proof that the company hasn’t moved beyond oil at all. BP is still sinking billions into risky oil exploration instead of investing in clean energy. The wildlife and people of the Gulf are paying the price right now, but we will all suffer if we do not move beyond oil.
